Matthew 6:6 (MSG) “Here’s what I want you to do: Find a quiet, secluded place so you won’t be tempted to role-play before God. Just be there as simply and honestly as you can manage. The focus will shift from you to God, and you will begin to sense his grace.”
Matthew 6:34 (MSG) “Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.”
Welcome to July 2025.
I hope your June and the first part of this calendar year has been... well, I struggle to find the right word. Because I know for some, this year has been a little rough. Me included.
So, I guess I would say: I hope you are okay.
And if you are just okay, that is better than not being okay.
And if you are not okay, that is okay too.
It is okay to just be in this moment, allowing the Lord Jesus to carry you, walk with you, lead you, lift you, and be with you into the next moment.
Now let’s get to the message.
Do you know what is meant by factory settings, manufacturer settings, or default settings?
Have you ever needed maintenance or repair, and the person said, “I’m going to restore this back to the factory settings. Your system is bogged down, and we need to reset it to the default. Your current performance is impacted, and we need to restore it to the original manufacturing settings?”
Why do they say these things?
Because somewhere along the way from purchase, to arrival, to installation, and your usage over time has led the system becoming cluttered, altered, and conformed to new settings and patterns.
It no longer functions as it was originally intended to.
It no longer even recognizes what it was created and installed to do.
And God forbid it’s a computer system with a virus. Good grief. So much has to be done to correct an infected machine.
Why?
Because something that should not and should have never had access has entered the environment and disrupted its AUTHENTICITY (IDENTITY).
Something has corrupted the mainframe (mind).
Something has disrupted the system’s ability to identify appropriate functions versus a bug (which is being deceitful).
Something has altered the true nature of the system, and now it’s deviating from the original plan and purpose.
To the beautiful and unique person reading this message:
You, me, and so many others have been corrupted by malware, trojans, spyware, bugs, and even ransomware.
Except—we’re not computers.
But the ransomware that has impacted us has made us try to pay for salvation, which has already been paid for through Christ.
You’re trying to earn an identity that’s already found in Christ.
You’re trying to achieve success through systems and processes that are meant to alter your integrity.
We have so many viruses infecting our beliefs and faith that we’ve forgotten where to turn and who to truly trust.
Beloved of Jehovah,
You need a factory reset.
You need to remember that the Author and Creator of the Universe designed you.
He created everything about you.
His original manufactured plan was never meant to be altered but through sin in the world, many of us have become infected and need a reset.
We need to be reminded Who runs, rules, controls, orders, and has the final say on everything.
Whatever virus has infected your soul and mind, it can be remediated.
No virus has a hold on you.
No malware can steal what is integrated into your mainframe.
No ransomware can overcome the conqueror you are in Christ.
You need a factory reset in your identity in Christ.
And He is waiting to remove false beliefs about yourself and others.
He is ready to destroy all the viruses impacting your life.
He has the right antivirus—THE BLOOD—to destroy all things of the enemy.
Do you want a factory reset?
Then go ahead.
Make time with the Father, and bring your viruses before Him to cast them out.
