Receive.
Good morning, afternoon, and evening,
I am a few days late into a new month, but I hope you have had a decent first half of 2026. My first half has been interesting, emotional, and heavy at certain points, but most recently, I have stopped to be grateful for all the moments up until this point.
I am here. You are here. We are here.
Okay…now onto this month’s blog.
Receive
Have you ever told God to take back His gifts?
Have you ever pleaded that His blessings were too much and He should take them back?
Have you ever complained about being healed or witnessing a loved one receive a blessing?
Have you ever told God, "No, thank you," when He has told you He is going to do something for you?
If the answers to these are no, then why do some of us struggle to receive from others?
Why does our reasoning keep us from allowing the Lord to bless us through others:
Through monetary gifts.
Through their time.
Through their encouragement.
Through their labor.
Through their wise counsel.
Through their friendship.
Through their love.
Why is it so difficult for so many to allow others to bless them?
Or maybe you allowed them to bless you, but then you turned around and got them a gift card or felt like you had to repay them with dinner.
Why are we uncomfortable with receiving the gifts of the Lord?
Why is it so difficult to receive His grace, His mercy, His love?
If we can’t earn or pay for what Jesus did on the cross...
Then why do we try to repay these small gestures that others would like to bless us with as well?
The reminder for us all…is just to Receive.
Learn to receive your salvation and what Jesus did as the greatest act of love.
Receive it by using your many gifts to bless others.
Receive it by also allowing others to use their many gifts to bless you.
Receive.
Proverbs 11:25
A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.
